Sara and Chris VIKING WEDDING!!!
March 30th, 2009I really could not have asked for a better couple to shoot this past Saturday than Chris and Sara. I really didn’t know what to expect from Linden Row Inn, as far as lighting/etc and with the weather we have been having lately I just gave up on trying to visualize anything. I get there and Sara has the most gorgeous suite with my favorite!!! VINTAGE FURNITURE!!! Plus two gorgeous windows…which you know I took advantage of!
Chris and Sara decided to see each other before the ceremony, which enabled me to take TONS of portraits of the two of them around the Inn. That works for me, that is my FAVORITE thing to take photos of.
I also got to work with DJ’s on the Side again—these guys are really laid back, play great music, and I have to say, they keep their DJ booth OUT of the way. This is rare, as a lot of DJ’s will just spread their stuff all over the place! If you are looking for a DJ for your day, I highly recommend Chris at DJ’s on the side. I will be working with them at several other weddings this year!
So, whats with the Vikings? Yes, they wore viking hats. And you know me! I love that stuff! The Brides family is Norwegian so it’s their custom to put on a big Viking Dance Fest during wedding receptions. Seriously—this was SO fun!
Well, with out further ado, here is a sneak peek at their wedding which will be going live on Tuesday April 7th.
Megan and Brent—
March 16th, 2009This year is the year for Williamsburg weddings it seems…I revisited Wren Chapel this weekend to photograph Megan and Brent’s ceremony and reception. I really do love this little church—it has so much character and so many places to photograph!
Preparation Location: The Williamsburg Hospitality House
Ceremony: Wren Chapel, Williamsburg-VA
Reception: The Alumni House–William and Mary

February 16th, 2009My and Sam—Valentines Day Wedding!
February 15th, 2009Short. Simple. Sweet. This shows how a very small wedding can be elegant, simple, and yet still stunning. Luckily, I wasn’t stuck photographing pink fluffy hearts all day and this bride picked the PERFECT colors! The sky was so incredibly blue that this brilliant yellow just POPPED against the sky and all of the other accents in her locations.
Location: Sacred Heart Church, Prince George.
Reception: Corner Bistro, Downtown Petersburg.
Flowers: Gardener’s Gate.
The proofs for this wedding will be up by Wednesday afternoon for your viewing.
2009 Jumps off to a COLORFUL YEAR
February 11th, 2009My first two weddings of 09 are proving to be some of the most COLORFUL weddings ever.
Janauary 31, 2009—Austin and Erin, New York City.
Ceremony: Wren Chapel
Reception: The Williamsburg Inn
Coordinator: Red Carpet Events
When Erin told me that she was going blue, I had no idea that she meant ELECTRIC blue. Of every color I have photographed, this one has to be the MOST vibrant color….I loved it! This couple was incredible to work with and I can’t wait for them to get back from their honeymoon to view all of their proofs!
February 7, 2009:
ChrisAnn and James
Ceremony: Corinth Methodist Church
Reception: Marriot West, Richmond.
Cake: Ukrops
Chris and James were probably the most laid back couple, until it was time to walk down the isle. They will both deny this, but the nerves were there! Ohhh! But the reception. I have never laughed so hard or had so much fun at a reception. Both my second shooter, Lauren and I were falling over ourselves laughing at the guests and having SUCH a great time with them. Chris and James, thanks for making us a part of you day!
Twilight Images gets BEST OF!
January 29th, 2009Yesterday I got a phone call from One Wed, which is a wedding networking place on the web which helps brides find vendors for their weddings, telling me that I won Best Wedding Photographer in Virginia on their website. This, of course, is thanks to the many reviews I have received with ratings of 5.0 stars! Thanks to all of you out there for taking the time to submit a review of your experiences working with me in 2008!
